Happy Birthday Oliver!

Oliver celebrated his one-year birthday on Tuesday of this week!  It was such a lovely day.  The weather was beautiful and he was in a happy mood.

He opened one present in the morning...

His drum with lots of musical instruments!  (Suitable for an 18 mos. old or older, but as long as we keep the drumsticks away from him for a few months, he'll be fine!)

Rock star.

Wore a new tee shirt...

Keeping the Streets Safe.

And his caregivers at Tutor Time made him a card!

He came home and skyped with both sets of grandparents and opened more presents.

Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa Cook for the Harley outfit!
Thank you, Aunt Courtney, Uncle Brian and Mallory for the 2 cool outfits!
Thank you, Aunt Heather, Uncle Ross and Mason for the recipe book and a new sweatshirt and shirt!
Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa Turk for the Lettersaurus, outfit and recipe book!

He ate Ho' Brah tacos and rice and beans for dinner...

And some vegan, gluten-free and peanut-free chocolate cupcake for dessert!

Admittedly, not the best for either party, but the requisite candle shot all the same.

I don't know what we've done to make him so suspicious of new food.

No, you EAT it.  Let me show you.

Making a birthday mess!

Who rocked this birthday?  Oliver did!

Full and happy tummy.

It didn't all go IN.

He had a bath and then opened some more presents...

Tee hee!

Genius immediately knew what to push to hear the ABCs.

Daddy helping him set up.  I love that he seemed impatient.

As soon as Oliver realized that the wagon had wheels, he was OFF!

He pushed it to underneath the kitchen table.

And then we all went to bed!

Happy birthday sweetie!  We love you very much and can't wait to celebrate many, many, many more wonderful birthdays with you!

He woke up the next morning itching to play with his farm. :)
